Founder & principal structural engineer

Matthew studied Structural Engineering and Architecture (dual honours degree) at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2004, and has been chartered with the Institution of Structural Engineers since 2010. He learnt about creative structural design under David Crookes at Fluid Structures, before co-founding Multilateral Structural Design in 2016 (with a former Fluid Structures director).

In the summer of 2019 Matthew started Bric design. He has a flair for creative structural design, and is at the heart of all design work produced by Bric.

Currently Matthew draws on the assistance of two freelance colleagues to assist with office management and the production of structural drawings and calculations.
